Soccer Referees Banned in Syria by ISIS
The Islamic Terrorist organization, ISIS has banned the use of referees while playing football in Syria because by their perspective, referees obey FIFA rules and not ISIS rules.
ISIS commanders have made it clear that football referees will not be allowed at local football matches because their rulings ‘do not judge according to what Allah has revealed’
According to UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), Isis had branded the rules of international football “illegitimate” and drawn up a list of rules detailing how injured players can be compensated under Sharia law. (GQ234)
A new rule was also made for injured players which allows them to claim compensation or revenge.
A player told SOHR:
“We’re lucky because the football we play does not run using Fifa’s name – then the organisation [Isis] would have stopped games once and for all and not just refereeing.”
Smoking, satellite dishes, dancing, watching foreign television and private internet access have also all been banned byISIS and anyone who disobeys will be met with punishments such as flogging, shooting, beheading, burning etc.
Just imagine having no cable, dancing or private internet! 😱😱😱!

Matchday Highlights!
The big headlines from today, came as Burnley unexpectedly downed Liverpool by 2 goals to nil with goals from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray.
Watford took a surprising yet not unexpected lead against Chelsea but, the Blues came back from behind to prove triumphant with late goals from Michy Batshuayi and the ever contrversial Diego Costa.
We expected a dazzling performance just like last season as Arsenal were away to defending league champions Leicester City but, it' obvious to say we were all disappointed by a dull display from both sides as both sides shared a point from a goalless draw.
Barcelona were on fire on La Liga Match-day 1 as they ran riot at the Camp Nou against Real Betis to win 6-2; a hat trick of goals from the smiling assassin, Luis Suarez, a brace from Lionel Messi and the opener from in form Arda Turan.
Finally, the Nigeria U-23 mens team take bronze as they beat the Honduras team 2-3. Our skipper and captain John Obi Mikel set up two assists as they finish third.

Iheanacho Makes The Impact As Man City Top League
Nigerian teenager Kelechi Iheanacho came on at the 82nd minute of City's away match against Stoke while the score was 1-2 to City's favour. He quickly gave Pep Guardiola a good reason for extending the teenagers contract by two years, with an assist to open new signing Nolito's goal scoring account.
That wasn't good enough to clench the victory though, in the added minutes, after a nice pass from Zabaleta, Iheanacho was at the centre of everything as he made a brilliant dummy to set up Raheem Sterling for an assist to Nolito for the Spaniards second goal for City.
The match ended 1-4 in favour of Man City after two goals from Sergio Aguero. Manchester City move to the top of the table.
Watch the Nigerians impacts below.

The End of A Dog Named Buhari
After reading this piece, drop your comments on wether this was justifiable or makes sense at all.
A Dog named Buhari generated so much talk among Nigerians this past week.
About two days ago, Chinakwe, a trader in Ogun state was arrested for naming his dog after President Buhari.
Joe Fortemose Chinakwe, a trader by profession said he was chilling out with his family when one of his neighbours from Niger Republic questioned him and wanted answers from him why he called his dog Buhari.
The 40-year-old trader said the result of the questions by his neighbours made him to thrown behind bars at Eleweran police headquarters in Ogun state
The man regained his freedom due to the quick intervention of both the Serikin Hausa and president-general of non-indigenes in the state.
According to Vanguard the man narrated all what actually happened regarding the whole incident.
He stated:
“I am Joe Fortemose Chinakwe from Okwuzu in Aniocha L.G.A, Delta state. I trade on second hand clothes popularly known as Okrika. I have a dog for the past one year. I named the dog Bully after buying it because it is very strong and moves fast. I have been living here since 2001. I reside in a place called Petere in Sango here. I love the dog so much that’s why I renamed it Buhari.”
Joe Fortemose Chinakwe, 40-year-old trader
When asked why he named his dog after the president’s name, he said:
“I named it Buhari because I found out that the dog is strong. After buying the dog, I named it Bully because of the way it behaved. I decided to change it to Buhari because Buhari, being a military man, the same time, coming back for the second time as a civilian President, he stands on his word. That is how my dog stands on his actions. So, I love the name so much and as such decided to give it to my dog. I was very surprised how a foreigner who lives around here came and said his father’s name was Alhaji Buhari. I have no business with and he went ahead to tell the police. They came to me that night and I was arrested.”
He mentioned the day the issue happened.
“That was on Saturday, August 13 at exactly 8,30pm. They got me arrested and our neighbours pleaded on my behalf but they insisted on taking me to the station. People were questioning the policeman why I should be arrested over such a trivial issue and gave examples of dogs in the vicinity that bear names of influential and powerful people like Obama, Clinton etc but, the policeman decided to take law into his hand and arrested me. Even my senior brother has a dog named Obama. One young man called Sunday was also arrested for questioning the police man who was later identified as Sergeant Musa, attached to Sango Police station. When we got to the station, he told me to bring the dog along. I agreed and went to bring the dog. Before I could get home, the Northern community in our area ganged up and killed my dog.”

UNILAG SHUTS DOWN OVER PROTESTS OF FUEL AND WATER SCARCITY
According to a statement released , the decision was made at a meeting of the University Senate held on Thursday. “The Senate of the University of Lagos at an emergency meeting on Thursday, April 7, 2016 considered the situation on campus occasioned by the ongoing agitation of the student body over poor electricity and water supply, and the difficulty faced by a large number of students living off campus to attend classes as a result of the fuel crisis. “Senate noted that the problem of poor municipal services is a national issue that governments at both State and Federal levels are addressing,” the statement read. UNILAG authorities ordered in the statement that students living on the campus should vacate their halls of residence, adding that no student should remain in the halls of residence after 10:00AM on Friday. “All academic activities on campus are hereby suspended with immediate effect. Is This the Adam We Know?
We knew him for his calmness in the midfield during his Man City days, and his ever steadfast presence at Sunderland. But, did we really know him for the man he is off the pitch?
Adam Johnson, the England soccer star has been sentenced to jail for six years on child sex charges
Prosecuting lawyer Kate Blackwell said the victim, who was 15 at the time, had suffered "severe psychological harm." In a statement the victim said she'd "entered many dark places" in the past year.
Sacked by English Premier League club Sunderland in the wake of his conviction, Johnson admitted to grooming a girl under the age of 16 and one charge of sexual activity but was found guilty of a further charge he had contested.
They related to an incident in Johnson's car on January 30, 2015, after he met up with the girl -- a Sunderland fan. Police said Johnson initially told them he was unaware of the girl's true age and claimed he only kissed her.
But does that make his actions right? Well, the judge certainly didn't think so!
What are your thoughts?
